What am I getting when I purchase a Rebuilt Transmission from Bedford Transmission?

Today's transmissions have very complex systems. These systems have to be updated & checked during the build process, along with the normally replaced parts.

Our transmissions recieve the highest quality parts on the market. Soft parts ( clutches, bands, sprags, filters & bushings ) always get replaced. Hardparts ( planetary gears, differentials, pumps ) have to be replaced or rebuilt during the rebuilding process.

The most important part of the rebuilding process is the valvebody. The valvebody has to be modified and corrected for improved transmission performance and durability.  It is then tested on a VBT 4000 test machine to insure proper function. Once the transmission has been assembled it is placed on a Dynamometer. This simulates the transmission being in your vehicle and is where we test the overall performance and record all transmission oil pressure readings.

Before we install our units, the cooling system ( which is a very important part of the transmissions long term durability ) is cleaned and checked for cooler flow and cooler pressure.

There are a lot of components that effect the operation of every transmission. During our test drives, we monitor the vehicles on board computer to ensure that our transmission is recieving the right information to work properly.

At Bedford Transmission Care you are not just getting parts cleaned and stacked together with a few new parts! We understand the function of the very complex system of your vehicles transmission.

All of us at Bedfrod Transmission Care take pride in what we do and strive to make your visit a very positive one.
